Learn more about the 2024 Engineering Design Challenge (EDC) at the kickoff on Monday, June 10, from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Northome Public School.
EDC is a statewide 4-H event for youth in grades 3 and up to work in teams to design and build a Rube Goldberg™ type machine that solves a two-step task.
The goal of the EDC is to use engineering to encourage young people's creativity, collaboration, communication and critical thinking. Youth will experiment with hands-on engineering activities, solve challenges and learn how to construct a machine while having fun.
This event is a fun experience to use your creative building skills and learn more about the 2024 EDC Challenge: Engineering for a Changing Climate.
Adults are also invited to attend to learn more about becoming involved in supporting their local team in reaching their EDC goals.
4-H members in grades 3+ and screened adult 4-H volunteers
