Food Assessment and Planning


Several efforts in this project area for WCP including two Blue Cross Blue Shield community food assessment projects and SHIP (Statewide Health Improvement Program) Public Health coalition planning and assessment. The Blue Cross Blue Shield community assessments are in partnership with Land Stewardship Project conducting an assessment in Big Stone County; and University of Minnesota Morris conducting an assessment on the campus, Morris community and surrounding area. SHIP includes Countryside Public Health covering five counties in West Central MN focusing on obesity and tobacco issues with schools, communities, worksites, and healthcare services.
