Earth Partnership for Schools Summer Institute for Teachers

This free teachers institute offers teams of K-12 teachers and community members the opportunity to learn about the cultural and natural history of ecosystems and how to utilize individualized curricula and school action plans to create meaningful experiences for students through the process of restoring a school site. The week-long session includes hands-on activities and field experiences, reading and group discussion, introduction to additional resources and natural resource programs, and journaling and planning time. After the first institute, Eagle Bluff leveraged other resources to cover participant expenses, with SE RSDP continuing to sponsor U of M faculty time and U of M graduate credits. We are currently exploring the nature of our support for a third institute.
