Cassandra Silveira is an Extension educator with the Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) at the University of Minnesota. In her current role, she provides program leadership and development to further the mission of EFNEP and extend the program’s outreach and impacts. Previously, Cassandra managed the nutrition education programs at Dream of Wild Health, a Minnesota non-profit that works to reconnect native peoples with land and food. She has a strong interest in functional nutrition, which examines how food affects the body on the cellular level.
Cassandra is a registered dietitian and earned her Master of Public Health — Nutrition degree at the University of Minnesota — Twin Cities, with a concentration in Alternative and Complementary Medicine.
