Alejandro Peralta Reyes has joined the University of Minnesota Extension Center for Family Development October 2016 as the research project coordinator for the Latino Fathers Promoting Healthy Youth Behaviors project. Alejandro assists with program development and maintaining partnerships in the community, among other responsibilities. Before joining Extension, Alejandro worked in Mexico City in the clinical nutrition department of the National Institute of Medical Science and Nutrition Salvador Zubirán. He also has worked at the University’s Nutrition Coordinating Center, leading different research projects for Hispanic and Latino health studies.
Alejandro earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Clinical Nutrition in his home country Mexico. He will receive a Master of Public Health degree from the University of New England in December.
