Andrew Doherty, registered dietitian nutritionist, joined the Health and Nutrition staff of the Extension Center for Family Development in 2015 as a SNAP-Ed educator. In July 2017, he began a temporary assignment as an Extension educator in Anoka County, where he is leading efforts to implement the county’s SHIP (Statewide Health Improvement Partnership) worksite wellness strategies. Previous to Extension, Andrew had worked as a teaching assistant and food shelf manager at Iowa State University.
Andrew earned a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics degree from Iowa State University. He completed his dietetic internship with Des Moines Public Schools in Iowa.
