Minnesota 4-H Horse Association

The Minnesota 4-H Horse Association (MFHA) is the policy making organization for the Minnesota 4-H Horse Project. It oversees events, activities, materials and resources.

The state is divided into districts. Two adult and two youth directors are elected from each annually. District map (128K PDF) Posted January 9, 2011.

The association holds two regular meetings per year, in November and February. Elections are held at the February meeting. Directors are elected adults and youth representing each district in the state and chairs of standing committees. Director responsibilities include attending meetings, representing the district, assisting with events, and participating in decision making.

4-H Horse Association Volunteer(s) of the Year

Each year at the state 4-H horse show, the directors of the Minnesota 4-H Horse Association recognize one or more people as state Volunteer of the Year. The winner is selected from the pool of state-level 4-H Horse Association volunteers. Recipients may receive the award only once. They receive a plaque from the association. Their accomplishments and contributions will be reported on the association website after the state show each year.
