OutFront Minnesota

OutFront Minnesota's mission is to create a state where lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer or questioning people are free to be who they are, love who they love, and live without fear of violence, harassment or prejudice.

Supporting Your LGBTQ Youth: A Guide for Foster Parents

While this resource focuses on foster parents as the audience, most of the content can be adapted well to the 4-H learning and development environment.  The fact sheet includes many further resources at the end as well.

Gay, Lesbian, Straight Education Network. Great resources including the Minnesota School Climate Survey. At GLSEN, we want every student, in every school, to be valued and treated with respect, regardless of their sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression. We believe that all students deserve a safe and affirming school environment where they can learn and grow.

GSA Alliance

Gay Straight Alliance Network.  Research continues to indicate that GSA’s in schools are the #1 effective resources for LGBTQI youth.
