Tractors

Tractors are an essential part of Minnesota's agriculture industry. Learn about safe handling, maintenance, restoration and operation, including parts of the tractor, fuels, engine operation, hydraulic and electrical systems and safety. New to 4-H? Get involved in the Tractors project!

What you can do

Level 1: Small Engines 1: Crank It Up

Learn about engine parts, engine maintenance, oil grades, spark plugs, cooling systems and safety labels. 

Level 2: Small Engines 2: Warm It Up

Explore internal parts of engines, learn about engine sizes, compression ratios, seasoning their engines and safety issues.

Level 3: Small Engines 3: Tune It Up

Tear down and rebuild an engine, use diagnostic tools, research rules and regulations about using small engine machines and select replacement engines.
