County All Star Awards/Friend of 4-H

Minnesota 4-H Horse program Friends of 4-H award

Many individuals outside of our 4-H family support the Minnesota 4-H Horse program. This award recognizes up to five of them each year for their contributions to our state programs and events. Nominations are submitted by members of the State Horse PDC. The PDC welcomes recommendations from individuals involved in the Minnesota 4-H Horse program. Winners are selected by the awards and recognition committee of the State 4-H Horse PDC. Plaques are awarded during the Minnesota 4-H State Horse Show. Recipients' contributions are reported on this website.

Eligibility and selection process:

4-H Horse project County All Star Volunteer award

Each county may select one person per year for this award from among the adult volunteers supporting their horse project. Each county determines its own selection process, and submits the name to Renee Kostick at the University of Minnesota Extension Regional Office, Brainerd via their county or regional office by July 1. County award winners are listed in the Minnesota 4-H State Horse Show program and receive a certificate from the State 4-H Horse PDC. Winners who are present at the State Horse Show awards presentation will be asked to stand for recognition. This award replaces the Green Blood Award, which was retired in 2008.
