Train the Trainer: A 4-H Dog Project Leader Training Workshop
This is only for youth leaders of high school age and adult leaders who train in county programs - not for youth leaders/parents who want to experience more of the Minnesota 4-H Dog Project.
THE OBEDIENCE GUIDELINES TAKING EFFECT IN 2016 HAVE HAD MAJOR CHANGES.
THE SHOWMANSHIP GUIDELINES HAVE HAD MINOR CHANGES.
THE MINNESOTA STATE 4-H DOG PROJECT DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE IS SPONSORING TRAINING FOR THE TRAINERS -- RECOMMENDED FOR ALL TO ATTEND.

YOU MUST PRE-REGISTER FOR TRAINING BY APRIL 1, 2016
Who can attend?
Open to 4-H Dog Project trainers, potential trainers, youth (high school age) and adult leaders.
Please leave your dog at home. There will be demonstration dogs available.
8:00-8:30 a.m. - Registration and continental breakfast
8:30-9:00 a.m. - Overview of new Obedience Guidelines
9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. - Demonstration of Obedience Classes
12:00-12:30 - Lunch
12:30-1:00 p.m. - Brad Rugg's presentation
1:00-3:00 p.m. - Demonstration of the Obedience Classes
3:00-5:00 p.m. - Showmanship Overview and Demonstration
5:00 p.m. - Questions and leave for day
No cost to participants. You will receive a copy of the new Obedience Guidelines and Showmanship Guidelines and any other handouts deemed necessary and lunch and snacks will be provided
