Current work, research and interests
Somongkol Teng is an Extension Educator focusing on evaluation based out of the Farmington regional office. As part of his work, he designs, develops, and supports the assessment and improvement of Youth Development programs through evaluation.
Somongkol has been with the Center for Youth Development since January 2017 and brings with him a wide range of experience in program evaluation at both the University of Minnesota and various other organizations around the United States, Cambodia and Asia. He has strong skills in quantitative and qualitative research and evaluation, and data visualization. He is proficient in five languages and has the ability to build relationships with diverse audiences.
Somongkol's most recent work experiences include working as a graduate research assistant with the University of Minnesota Extension's Center for Community Vitality and Tourism Center, and an evaluation consultant for CARE International Cambodia.
