Current work, research and interests
Joshua Kukowski has been with University of Minnesota Extension since April of 2013. He works out of the Moorhead regional office. He sits on the state citizenship and leadership committee, is also one of the State Ambassador advisers, and is a member of the diversity cohort.
His academic focus was evaluating the effectiveness of teacher evaluations and he helped to form an educational think-tank called "Educators for Innovation" in Baltimore, MD.
Prior to Extension, Joshua taught high school history, economics, and government for nine years in Baltimore County Public Schools and at Colegio John Henry Newman in Bogota, Colombia. He has also served as director of two foundations in Bogota whose focus was to break the cycle of poverty. Joshua is particularly interested in growing 4-H among immigrants and under-served audiences and enjoys playing ultimate frisbee.
