Connecting Students: Minnesota Valley History Learning Center

Purpose

To Create a Minnesota Valley Historic Site Map and Interactive Web Based Directory for all historic sites and history based organizations in the Minnesota River Valley. This would be done under the sponsorship of the Minnesota Valley History Learning Center (MVHLC) and future updating and printing of the maps and maintenance of the web links would be handled by the MVHLC.

Outcomes

To create a tourist promotion map and a complete set of linked web sites, (using an easily fillable web site wizard or shell) that includes all historic sites in the Minnesota River Valley from Big Stone Lake to Fort Snelling. We hope to expand history based tourism in our region by providing easily accessible information and through collaborative promotion of Minnesota River Valley Tourism. Success will be measured by production of the map and by the number of organizations that agree to become part of the project by creating a web site and participating in other ways.
