Henderson Classic Car Roll In Survey

The city of Henderson is a small town (890 population) located within the scenic bluffs of the Minnesota River valley and in close proximity to major population centers. City leaders have made critical investments and improvements to the Historic Main Street. These efforts are resulting in increased tourism as a major component of the local economy and helps keep Main Street businesses vibrant. The Henderson Classic Car Roll In is a weekly event aimed at automobile enthusiasts to park their cars and socialize on historic Main Street. This event has been growing in attendance by not only car owners, but Henderson citizens, motorcyclists and regional visitors. Attendance ranges from 250 to over 400 cars per week with 1000 to 2000 people attending. A small committee of local citizens plans and implements the weekly event. By surveying attendees, the Roll In committee hopes to better understand how to keep this event highly successful, sustainable, meet budget needs, continue to build community support and provide an enjoyable experience for everyone. The completed survey will provide a broader perspective and help the Roll In Committee preserve, refine and communicate the value of this weekly event to the community and sponsors. The Roll In is one of many tourism-related events this town conducts every year. By sustaining the Roll In into future years, its success spreads awareness to other city events and the many amenities offered by the area.

A survey of attendees will be conducted throughout the 2016 Roll In season, designed to meet these objectives:
