Finland Community Center

Northeast Regional Sustainable Development Partnership Clean Energy Resource Teams
Community partners: Crystal Bay Township, Building Committee, Fundraising Committee, Finland Recreation Board, Friends of the Finland Community, Lake County Board of Commissioners, Lake County Highway Department, Wolf Ridge Environmental Learning Center, Coop Light and Power, many, many more.

We have begun construction of the Center and the geothermal heating system. Construction is being documented closely for the creation of the displays we intend to have on the facility's renewable energy systems and savings. In October the Town of Crystal Bay put out an RFP for geothermal installation for our project. The bid selected was from Northern Groundsource, from the Brimson area. Northern Groundsource has completed installation of the loop field and we are now waiting for the final phase of construction so that the heat pump can be installed and the system made operational.

Construction, which will produce a finished, functional building and a finished functional heating system, and photos, which will be used to create the educational displays. We have a completed geothermal loop field, ready to be hooked up once the rest of our building is completed in the spring.
