Youth Energy Summit (expansion to Northeast Minnesota)

Expand the Youth Energy Summit (YES!) into northeastern Minnesota.

YES! empowers youth to partner with their community to create economic and environmental vitality through hands-on learning and team-based projects such as demonstrations of renewable learning and team-based projects while exposing them to how science is applied in real life.

The purpose of this project is to foster relationships and mobilize resources within a community that promotes the great good with YES! communities. Through YES! students in Northeastern Minnesota communities are learning by doing; building and designing an electric vehicle, planning and participating in alternative energy and transportation tours, working with engineers to assess the feasibility of solar panels, improving recycling and composting programs, and much more.
