Buy Fresh Buy Local South Dakota
Buy Fresh Buy Local South Dakota is a marketing campaign that promotes South Dakota grown and produced foods through a branding campaign and through dissemination of the impacts local food consumption has on local and rural economies.

Dakota Local Food Network
The Dakota Local Food Network website is a clearing house of local food information in western South Dakota. Included are links to various CSAs, dairy, meat, and poultry producers, produce growers, and farmers markets. The site also contains information about a variety of topics related to local food and food in general.

Dakota Rural Action
Dakota Rural Action (DRA) is a grassroots advocacy organization and conservation group that provides resources and programming for South Dakota family farms.

Farm Beginnings
Dakota Rural Action
Farm Beginnings is a farmer-led course that provides training, support, and education needed to start a successful sustainable farming business. The program provides whole-farm training, marketing, financial planning, business planning, and connections with resources and mentors.

Farm Network
Dakota Rural Action
The Farm Network is a network of beginning and established farmers and a platform where people can come together to solve problems and connect with one another. The network hosts an online listserv, farm tours, skill sessions, and winter workshops on a variety of topics.

This site provides information about the emerging farm to school programs in South Dakota including farm to school rules and farm to school activities in South Dakota and other states.

South Dakota Local Foods Co-op
This online co-op connects consumers to farmers and other South Dakota producers in their area and gives them the opportunity to buy fresh, healthy local food and South Dakota made goods.

Local Foods Directory
Over 20,000 copies of the directory have been distributed across the state and link buyers and consumers to hundreds of producers.

Hills Horizon
Hills Horizon works in South Dakota’s Northern Hills communities to encourage sustainable lifestyles. The organization operates a farmers market and community garden in Spearfish, SD.

iGrow
South Dakota State University Extension
iGrow is the teaching platform used that allows individuals free access to Extension information and resources. Articles and resources are organized in several categories some of which will be helpful for local growers and producers. Under the "Gardens" category, for example, are headers that include "gardens" and "commercial horticulture" where one can find links to the local food entrepreneurs program and other resources.

South Dakota Flavor
The Dakota Flavor project provides a searchable database of local food producers throughout the state. This database provides agricultural producers with the opportunity to market their products to consumers and connect with other producers.
