Central Sustainable Tourism & Resilient Communities Work Group
Working to build a tourism industry that protects natural and cultural resources, while supporting vibrant local economies
The Central Sustainable Tourism & Resilient Communities Work Group meets regularly to review and develop ideas, consider proposals and build a network of partners to help support relationship building and educational tourism experiences that will benefit both the guest and host communities throughout the region.
Our Work Group invites ideas that respond to the following priorities:
Diversity & Cultural Awareness - Building local capacity to meet the needs of new audiences.
Arts, Parks, & Trails Programming - Supporting projects that create positive awareness and sustainable impacts in the region.
Creative Learning for Kids - Encouraging educational opportunities related to tourism (i.e. community gardens).
Tourism Assessment, Training, & Networking - Enhancing programs that increase tourism and economic development.
Revitalizing Downtown Areas - Partnering on projects to help support businesses, organizations and communities.
