Size            5/8-1/3 inch long  
Where/When      Active from early June through October. Primarily attacks pumpkins and squash. May also attack cucumbers.  
Significance      Squash bugs are usually not numerous. Occasionally high numbers are present and serious damage can occur to vegetables. It is less important to treat squash bugs late in the season. They can also feed on pumpkins and squash directly after harvest and injure them.
