| Where/when | Active from late May or early June through early July. Feeds primarily on flower blossoms, including roses, peonies, and dahlias. Also feeds on the foliage of many trees and shrubs and on many fruits, such as grapes and raspberries. Associated with sandy soil. | |
| Significance | Often found in high numbers. When numerous, rose chafers are damaging to flowers, plant foliage and fruits. | |
