| Where/When | Its primary range is in the south central area of the U.S. Does not occur in Minnesota, but it can be transported outside of its normal range. It is a hunting spider although it will build a web, which it uses as a retreat. It is nocturnal and prefers undisturbed areas. Found outdoors under rocks, landscape timber, logs, and other debris. Indoors, it is often found in boxes, under beds, closets, storage areas, attics, crawl spaces, and various cracks and crevices. | |
