American Cockroach
	Size	1½-2 inches (nymphs are smaller)
	Where/when	Found indoors anytime during the year. Usually brought into homes in infested boxes, bags, luggage, and other items.
	Significance	Is a persistent home-infesting insect. Also can be a public health problem by contaminating food and causing allergic reactions and asthma.
