Pavement ant

	Where/when	Found indoors at anytime during the year. In many cases it is seen more commonly indoors during the winter than during warmer weather.
	Significance	Nests in the soil under objects, including concrete slab construction of home. Can infest food otherwise it does not harm property. Generally considered a nuisance although it can be persistent and challenging to control.
