TAN SPOTS
(Occurs infrequently)
Tan spots from interior towards edge of leaf. Often papery.

WHITE TO GRAYISH SPOTS
(Occurs occasionally)
Large spots with brown borders. Leaf tissue may drop out. Tiny black fungal fruiting bodies on spot look like pepper.

YELLOW RING OR LINE PATTERNS
(Occurs occasionally)
Yellow & green mosaic, ring spots, or line patterns on leaves. Leaves may be stunted, curled, or distorted.

SMALL BROWN SPOTS
Small brown spots scattered on leaves. In moist conditions brown to grey fuzz may appear.

FOLIAR NEMATODES
(Occurs occasionally)
Leaves have patches or wedge-shaped areas of dead tissue.

OTHER PROBLEMS ON FOLIAGE
Some foliage problems on hostas may be caused by too much sun and/or drought stress.
