Stable Fly

	Where/When	Develops in wet straw, soil animal bedding, grass clippings and other decaying plant material, and manure. Most common June through September.
	Significance	Inflicts painful bites on people and animals. People are especially bitten around the ankles. Not a known disease vector in Minnesota.
