Bean Leaf Beetle

Size	¼ inch long
Where/when	Active in May and June and again in July and August. Feeds on snap beans and soy beans.
Significance	Beetles in spring can defoliate plants. Damage to leaves may reduce plant vigor, plant size, yield. Later in summer beetles damage beans pods as they feed on them.
