Size: 5/8 inch long, including wings (not including antennae)
When/Where: Found on plants in many types of environments, including gardens, landscape plants, and agricultural fields. Active from spring through summer.
Significance: Feeds on pollen, nectar, and aphid honeydew. Larvae are predaceous on aphids.
