Size: Up to 3/8 inch long
Where/When: Found on plants in many types of environments, including gardens, landscape plants, and agricultural fields. Active from spring through summer.
Significance: An important natural control agent. They feed primarily on aphids and other soft-bodied insects, such as scale insects.
