One day you notice white, cottony, fuzzy masses on your jade plant. You dust the plant, but the cottony masses seem stuck to it. You look more closely and notice some oval shapes with long filaments and you suspect that an insect has infested your plant. You also notice some of the leaves are sticky.

  1. What type of insect has infested the jade plant and what is the sticky material on the leaves?
  2. Are the insects harming the jade?
  3. Can the insects move to other houseplants?
