2009 Minnesota Forest Pest First Detector Workshops

Workshops (including Winona) are for individuals who want:

  • To volunteer be a Forest Pest First Detector *
  • In depth information on Emerald Ash Borer and other forest pests
  • To take the Minnesota Tree Inspector Exam
  • An update for MN Emerald Ash Borer First Detectors who attended training in 2008**

* Do not need to become a First Detector to attend

To Become A Forest Pest First Detector

If you want to become a Forest Pest First Detector at any of the four workshops you must:

  • Mark that option when you register
  • Provide your email address when register
  • Complete all three of the on-line modules listed to the right BEFORE you attend the training.

Just click the module link and the presentation will automatically begin on your computer. Be sure to have your computer sound turned on.

Each module includes narrated set a of slides and few questions for you to answer.

At the end of each module, you will be asked to print out a module completion form.

You only need to bring the Module 1 form to the workshop.
