Private Certification is required for all applicators who apply Restricted Use Pesticides to their own land or sites for the production of agricultural commodities.

Anyone not certified in 2007 must take the exam (on-line or mail-in) to become certified.
Those certified through 2007 may recertify by workshop or by the on-line or mail-in exam

Workshops (recertification only) were held during Jan-Feb 2008. No more are scheduled for 2008.

On-line exam (new and recertification) available now through October 31, 2008 at www.pat.umn.edu

Mail-in exam (new and recertification) packets and the study manual available now through October 31, 2008 at most county extension offices

18.3 Edition of Private PAT Manual On-line!

You may use any version of the 18th edition of the study manual for the mail-in or on-line tests.

Private Applicator Fumigation Endorsement:
Farmers and other private applicators are required to have the Private Applicator Fumigation Endorsement on their Private Applicator Certification to purchase and apply fumigants.
