4-H clover Goodhue County seniors: Apply for 4-H scholarships

Goodhue County 4-H has the following scholarships available to graduating 4-H seniors:

Scholarship Application

Brett Duden Memorial Scholarship
This $200 scholarship award is given to one Goodhue County 4-H member who is a senior or first-year college or technical college student, pursuing an agricultural related field. This scholarship is sponsored by Duane and Jackie Duden and is awarded at the County Fair Awards Ceremony (scholarship is received after completing first year of college). Apply online or download a paper application and mail it in to the Extension office before June 10. 

James Bryan Memorial Scholarship
One $250 scholarship is awarded to a graduating senior or college freshman who is a Goodhue County 4-H member and enrolled in the Beef, Sheep or Swine project. This scholarship is sponsored by the Bryan Family and is awarded at the County Fair Awards Ceremony. Apply online or download a paper application and mail it in to the Extension office before June 10. 

Billy Pohlman Memorial Scholarship
One $250 scholarship is awarded to a graduating senior or college freshman who is a Goodhue County 4-H member and enrolled in the Dairy project. This scholarship is sponsored by the Pohlman Family and is awarded at the County Fair Awards Ceremony. Apply online or download a paper application and mail it in to the Extension office before June 10. 

4-H Leadership Scholarship
Three $1,000 scholarships are awarded to three graduating seniors who have shown exemplary leadership in the Goodhue County 4-H program and who will be pursuing a post high school education next year. These scholarships are sponsored by Goodhue County 4-H Council and are awarded at the County Fair Awards Ceremony (scholarship is received after completing first semester of college). Apply online or download a paper application and mail it in to the Extension office before June 12.

Purple Ribbon Scholarship
The Goodhue County Purple Ribbon Fund sponsors a $500 scholarship to any senior graduating high school in Goodhue County.  Applicants do not need to attend a post-secondary school to receive the funds. To apply for this scholarship, use this form to write a short essay about your best moments and what you have learned in 4-H. Contact our office with any questions. Applications are due June 10 to the committee.
