Mailing Lists

  • Liszt, the mailing list directory - This site catalogs all mailing lists on the Internet and categorizes them according to topic. It provides list descriptions and subscription information. One drawback is that many of the lists are private--You'll have to read through the description information to find out if you can join the list.
  • CataList, the official catalog of LISTSERV lists - Tool for finding mailing list servers that run the listserv mailing list software. For example, you can find out how many lists are hosted by the University of Minnesota. Includes information on features, # of subscribers, and subscription information.
  • Publicly Accessible Mailing Lists - A good site for finding mailing lists that anyone can subscribe to. Lists are indexed by name and keyword for easy searching. Ent ries include descriptive information about the list and instructions for subscribing.
