Finding Internet Providers

To find the Internet providers in your area, try:

  • Contacting your local phone company.

  • Contacting long distance carriers such as AT&T, MCI, and Sprint for nationwide Internet services.

  • Looking under "Internet Services" or "Computer Services" in your phone book for a local provider.

  • Reviewing magazines that deal with Internet or computer topics.

  • Purchasing connection kits for commercial services from your local computer store.

  • Checking out "The List" at http://thelist.internet.com/. This Web site contains service and cost information for ISPs throughout the world. You can view ISPs by area code, state, or county.
