Prevention and Control of Caprine Abortions
Dr. Susan McClanahan, University of Minnesota
An overview of the most common causes of abortion in goats and how to control/prevent abortion outbreaks.
FAMACHA© (Parasite Monitoring System)
Brenda Postels, University of Minnesota Extension-Wright County
Internal parasites are the number one health problem affecting goats. Because worms have become resistant to many of the dewormers producers use, a more integrated approach to internal parasite control is necessary. Use of the FAMACHA© Eye Anemia Guide helps to determine the need for deworming individual animals.
Management of the Fresh Doe and Newborn Kid
Dr. Susan McClanahan, University of Minnesota
Management strategies will be presented on how to manage and prevent fresh doe and newborn goat kid problems.

Registration fee is 30.00 per person. Space is limited due to small group participation.
Pre-registration is necessary. Box lunches will be provided upon your request but are not included in the registration fee.
