Access Minnesota Main Street connects small- to medium-sized businesses to the Internet, electronic commerce, and global trade.
The University of Minnesota Extension Service developed the Access Minnesota Main Street eCommerce curriculum in 1998 for owners of small rural businesses.
The program enables small businesses to find new markets, use the Internet as an effective business tool and participate in the global economy.
In addition to the online curriculum, the program offers hands-on workshop materials to help introduce the program to business owners. Many people have contributed to the success of Access Minnesota Main Street.
Today, twelve states have licensed the online curriculum and the hands-on workshop materials for their own use. Click here if you'd like to see some of the businesses that participated in the first years of the program.
