Web Branding Standards, Definitions, and References – How to tell if your site is an “Extension” site, what are the benefits and requirements for proper branding, guidelines for URL naming, references, links, and downloads of the Extension web wordmark and Extension’s version of the U of M header and footer.

Educational and Promotional Materials Development

Format for printer-friendly web materials (136 K DOC) or any online items users can print from the Extension website. It’s important that your printable materials are properly branded and identified so that if they are printed and passed around, people will know where they came from.

Required statements to use on Extension and University of Minnesota materials:  Equal Opportunity (EEO), Disability Access (ADA), recycling, copyright, etc.

Publication life cycle (180 K PDF) - Overview of the steps needed to produce a new, revised, and reprinted Store product and accompanying web version. Includes instructions for key decision points, process for reviewing items, withdrawing materials from the Store, and Web-only items.

Getting Written Permission for Your Photos, Video and Film (77 K PDF)

Product Action Form (formerly Distribution Entry Form - DEF): Info Extension Store needs before it can be entered and sold. Also a check list of things to do to finalize production and delivery. Best when viewed in Print Layout

Consumer Categories for Distribution Center items and web-only items. These codes assure that the items show up throughout the website along with other materials that cover similar subject matter.

Topics for MyPrograms, Extension Store, and eventually the new website. These codes assure that the items show up in the new Extension Store (online shopping cart) left navigation, and eventually throughout the new website.
