| Size: 1/4 inch long. |
Where/When: Associated with mud tubes and essentially never seen out in the open. Could be seen through out the year. |
| Significance: Colonies nest in the soil and attack wood. Very damaging to homes. Termites are generally uncommon in Minnesota. They are more common in southern Minnesota and more rare to non-existent as you travel north. |
