Rose stem girdler
Agrilus aurichalceus
Size: Up to 3/8 inch long

Where/When: The larva feeds just beneath the bark of rose stems during summer and again in early spring. Larvae are rarely, if ever, seen.

Significance: Dieback of damaged stem occurs due to decreased nutrient and water flow.
