Size: Up to ¾ inch long

Where/When: Feeds on currants and gooseberry. The larvae are active in May and June.

Significance: They feed on the leaves, sometimes severely defoliating plants.  They are generally not a common problem in Minnesota gardens, although they can become abundant in localized sites.
