Japanese beetle
Popillia japonica
Size: 1/3 – 7/16 inch long

Where/When: Feeds on hundreds of herbaceous and deciduous plant species, including roses and grapes. Adults are present from late June to early September.

Significance: Feeds on leaves, flowers, and fruits causing cosmetic damage and can be injurious to plants when abundant.
