Columbine sawfly
- Occurs May to June
- Chews leaf tissue starting along the sides of the leaves, leaving the midveins
- Sawfly is caterpillar- or worm-like, grows up to 1 inch long, and is green

Hail
- Ragged holes in foliage
- Appears suddenly, after sever weather
- Affects very local area only, sometimes individual plants show damage
