Information in this section is derived from projects designed and/or implemented by students enrolled in University of Minnesota Horticulture classes, directed studies and work-study programs. The intent of these projects is to provide real experiences in design as well as hands-on implementation opportunities. While quality and attention to industry standards is a primary goal, these projects are educational in nature. An individual's level of experience, equipment and supply availability, budget, weather and available laboratory time dictates the parameters of each project. Readers must evaluate their own knowledge and experience as well as the size and complexity of the project when making the decision whether to tackle it or to hire an industry professional.
