Currant Borer
Synanthedon tipuliformis

  • Stems wilt and dieback; may break off
  • Holes and sawdust may be found near base of stems
  • Pupal skins protrude from holes in stems
  • Larvae are white with dark heads
  • Adults are blue-black clearwing moths with yellow band on abdomen
