Podosesia syringae

  • Wilted young green shoots
  • Dead and/or broken stems above larvae feeding sites
  • Sawdust-like frass accumulates around entrance holes and on ground beneath
  • Larvae are creamy white, about 1" long with light brown head
  • Adults resemble paper wasps
