Picnic or sap beetles
Nitidulidae spp.
Size: 1/4 – 1/2 inch long

Where/When: Attracted to overripe and decaying fruits and vegetables. Active June – September.

Significance: May damage healthy fruits (such as raspberry) or vegetables once attracted into the garden.
