How to submit poultry specimens to be tested

Abby Neu, Wayne Martin

Birds can die for many reasons, so some death loss is to be expected. However, if frequency or numbers are increasing, then you may want to have the birds tested at the Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory to discover the source of the problem.

Time: 2:36 | This video explains how and where can you submit poultry specimens for diagnostic testing in Minnesota and western Wisconsin. The University's Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory is Minnesota's only full-service lab for animal health diagnosis, is the official lab of the Minnesota Board of Animal Health, and performs nearly 1.4 million procedures annually.
