Farm to school month

October is National Farm to School Month, a time to celebrate connections all over the country between schools and local food. Whether you are a foodservice professional, a farmer, a teacher, or a food-loving family, you can celebrate and get involved.

Why register? We want to track the impact of MN Thursdays and the Great Lakes Great Apple Crunch across Minnesota and want to amplify the message that schools, early care and education sites, hospitals, and other organizations care about supporting Minnesota agriculture, farmers and farmworkers.

October 4: Minnesota Thursdays

Minnesota Thursdays is an opportunity for school districts and others across the state to serve healthy, freshly prepared school meals featuring Minnesota-grown foods. Check out past menus and activities from Minneapolis Public Schools. Registration will open in July.
