Schoolyard Ecology Explorations — University of Minnesota Extension — Seeks to increase student and teacher expertise in ecological research, natural history and sustainability. Through summer workshops, curriculum and schoolyard garden grants, teachers gain the skills and the tools to lead their student to investigate the natural world.
Master Gardener — University of Minnesota Extension — This program benefits schools, community gardens, youth programs, environmental education programs, farmers markets, and much more.
Minnesota Landscape Arboretum — University of Minnesota — Provides garden and summer camp programming for youth of all ages.
Gardening Matters — Supports the sustainable development of community gardens and schoolyard gardens for producing fresh produce, being a learning site for healthier eating, and engaging community and youth in active, healthier living.
Youth Farm & Market Project — Provides year-round, youth development programming for over 500 youth, ages 9-18, utilizing experiential education and training, urban agriculture, gardens, and greenhouses.
Community Design Center of Minnesota — Builds vibrant and healthy communities through food, conservation and youth development.
